2018/19 season is close to a start, the 1st official game will be played on 11th of October in Moscow, where home crowd favorites, CSKA will receive the visit of a revamped Barcelona team.
The home team will not look much more different than the last season, adding only 3 wide known players, Hackett (Brose), Alec Peters (Suns) and Bolomboy Joel (Bucks 2). Even though on paper this looks a complete squad, Hackett is an insane gamble, at age of 30 he is coming after some hard injuries and some average seasons. Overall this team led by Itoudis is an aged one, with only Clyburn and Higgins from the starting 5 being aged under 30 years old. It is also interesting what motivation the players will have after the back to back chokes in the Euroleague F4. Experienced De Colo or Rodriguez failed again to make it to the final.
On the other hand after 2 failed seasons, Barcelona is about to start this season with a very interesting roster. Led by experienced Serbian coach, Pesic, Barcelona landed 6 new names into the roster In the backcourt, the team brought in some big names, All-EuroLeague point guard Kevin Pangos and All-EuroCup shooting guard Kyle Kuric. Jaka Blazic will also provide scoring punch to help the fans in Barcelona get over the retirement of legend Juan Carlos Navarro. In the frontcourt, Barca got stronger with big men Chris Singleton, center Artem Pustovyi, and young forward Rolands Smits, who also had a big season in Spain and could be a solid bet for the team's future.
Overall, I see a lot of potential in this Barcelona squad, the handicap is a must bet option.
