Germany can’t whine, they got Hein!

Good news Germany, the football team let you guys down in the World Cup, but Nick Hein is coming home July 22nd fighting at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

The UFC’S  return to Germany is just around the corner and Nick ‘Sergeant’ Hein is hoping to lift the spirit of fellow countryman this Saturday, Live on the FS1 prelims main event. Fighting out of the Tiger Muay Thai gym, the former Judo Champion Hein will be head hunting for a victory this weekend in hope’s to get back in the win column. Holding a 4-2 record in the UFC (all by decision), Hein was on a 3 fight win streak which ended with a loss to Davi Ramos via rear naked choke back in May.

Almost opposite of his opponent, The Bosnian Damir Hadzovic leaves it all in the octagon win or lose with only two bouts ending in a decision over his previous 8 fights. 1-2 In the UFC, Damir has had a rocky start to his career and I expect this to continue at the weekend in Germany.

The most probable outcome and also most expected victory would be Hein via Decision after looking at his previous fights, but fighting a guy like Hadzovic might also give Hein a chance to drop some bombs like he did against James Vick nearly finishing him in the first round. Both fighters hold purple belts in Jui-Jitsu but Hein will be the aggressor in the grappling & striking department.

I can see Hein grinding this one out to secure the win but wouldn’t be shocked at all if he got the finish. Giving up the height and reach advantage, I still have faith in the hometown favorite to move in close and control this fight anywhere he sees fit and secure a victory.

Hein will shine my friends, which brings me onto this week’s free tip for UFC Fight Night 134.

Nick Hein to win – 1.70 odds – total stake of 2 units.
